Our Message
Read I Kings 3:1-15
Ask yourself this question: If I were put in King Solomon's place, what would I ask of God? Often, we have faith to believe God for answers to what we consider "small" prayers, but then struggle with asking God to act in the "big" things of life. As a result, we relegate ourselves to thinking and believing too small, when God is asking us to risk, or take a greater step of faith.
During the month of May I would challenge you to come before the Lord in prayer, ask Him to show you what He wants to do in your life that might stretch your faith and challenge your level of personal comfort. Allow Him to speak His love to your heart, but also make yourself available to be fashioned anew by Him according to His choosing. Ask God to be at work in your life to make you more like Jesus (Rom. 8:28-30).
Then go the next step: Ask God to show you how to pray for your church.
If God would grant your greatest request on behalf of the congregation where you currently worship, what would your request be? Ask God to reveal the greatest area of need in your church right now, and ask Him to be at work in a powerful way to accomplish His will in the midst of His people.
Never forget that the prayers of righteous persons are powerful in their effects (James 5:16). Pray & believe God.
